What makes this value work is that it is not pure. Grey is mixed through it, softening the edge, which brings it close to behaving like a neutral despite being plainly blue.

The sole is the surprise. Instead of the usual white or grey it arrives in beige, brown and gum. That warm contrast beneath a cool blue is what gives the shoe its character.
